The making
of 'Wink'
We started working on the magazine by getting all the photographs ready first. Image plays an important part in our magazine as it is targeted for teenage girls.
After each photo-shooting and interview, the information would be recorded, rewritten and edited. As the person in charge of the layout, I make sure that the layouts are based on the writer's preferences. Other team members assisted in giving suggestions on how to make each page better.
Each photo-shoot was taken by around 2 to 3 people unless if other members are occupied with other things or had schedule clashes. The photo-shoot mostly can take up to 3 hours, depending on the topics and location. The locations for the shootings were chosen for being places our targeted audience, teen girls, would like to see or places they often go to, such as Full House cafe in Sunway. I was really glad that they allowed us to work there for three hours without any need for payment. Another problem we had during interviews are when the people we planned to meet up with can't make it. In the end we made it by finding replacements for interviews. |
