SUBANG JAYA- A girl's scream was broadcasted, and participants squatted and closed their eyes to prevent from being kidnapped by 'ghosts'.
Liew Carmen, the chairperson for the Mid Autumn-Halloween Party said the event was one of the greatest parties held by the Chinese Association as it was more unique.
"This is the first time we made changes in the events. Most of the time we eat, watch performances and have mini games but we had more interesting activities this year," Liew said.
Participants in the party had a grand time making mooncakes, having a buffet style dinner, accompanied by musical performance by a duo. Afterwards, there were acting performances by members of the Taylor's Chinese Association, carrying Chinese lanterns and group activities.
"It was quite challenging as I had to find sponsorship for the mooncakes after mid-autumn festival," Liew added.
63 Taylorians gathered around the area outside Student Life Center in Taylor's University to celebrate late Mid Autumn Festival and Halloween on the 10 Oct, despite the moonless sky.
Dominic Liow Wen Hao, 23 and Goh Hui Ying, 23 who both had graduated from Taylor's University this year came back to perform 4 duets that night.
Taylorian Wong Chui Gan, 22, majoring in Quantity Surveying enjoyed himself at the event, snapping pictures and making friends.
"It feels good to be here because everyone's very friendly," Wong said.
